PANEL ONE
Glott and Terry sit under the tree.
GLOTT:
There’s a myth that our brains just stop developing after we turn 25. Like someone decides to pack it up and turn out the lights on our 25th birthday.
TERRY:
That’s silly.
PANEL TWO
Glott smirks.
GLOTT:
You’re telling me! Our brains continue to develop over the course of our entire lives. I think the misinformation comes from studies that show the prefrontal cortex, the snobby academic center of our brains, becomes fully developed around that age.
PANEL THREE
The tree silently stares in your direction.
GLOTT:
Through great concentration and focus, I’ve inhibited any development of my brain.
TERRY:
How does that work?
GLOTT:
I think really hard about not thinking.
PANEL FOUR
Glott leans against the tree.
TERRY:
I feel like that would cause major headaches.
GLOTT:
Oh, all the time. Each headache is a sign that I’m killing braincells to maintain my bliss and live my truth.
PANEL FIVE
Terry’s arms are bent in a worried shape, like a W shape. The W of Terry’s arm-bend shape stands for worried. Okay? Don’t ask why, it just does.
TERRY:
I guess it’s cheaper than a lobotomy.
GLOTT:
Way cheaper.
THE END.
