PANEL ONE
Glott plays their handheld gaming console.
GLOTT:
A lot of games rely on scarcity to create tension. There’s a finite resource between players, and they have to fight over it.
TERRY:
A zero sum game.
PANEL TWO
Terry half-shrugs.
GLOTT:
Exactly, but that’s not really the case in the real world.
TERRY:
Resources are finite in the real world, too.
PANEL THREE
Glott sits under the tree.
GLOTT:
Sure, on paper we have a limited amount of metals and tenable soil and such, but as someone who pillages territories on the regular, these resources are so vast that if we put even a little planning into it, we would solve world hunger and energy deficiency.
PANEL FOUR
Terry waves to the sky.
GLOTT:
We don’t have a quantity problem, we have a resource distribution problem.
TERRY:
The haves and the have nots.
PANEL FOUR
The tree sleeps as the goblins chat.
GLOTT:
You know, I’m a little annoyed by you swooping in and summarizing my statements with cool colloquialisms.
TERRY:
I’m simply agreeing with you.
GLOTT:
I do like it when people agree with me.
TERRY:
See? All’s well that ends well.
THE END.
