This week, I received the copies of Thought Complex that I’ll be selling at the PAX West Indie Night Market.
Check out all the games available for purchase at the market using this link:
PNW Tableetop Game Market 2026
Everything turned out looking fantastic! The game feels nice and compact but the tarot-sized cards and art provide a good sense of robustness and set the tone of the game well.
Take a look at how the physical game looks on my bluesky post embedded below:
Manufactured by Launch Tabletop
Launch Tabletop provided me with a low-friction experience for manufacturing and shipping to my doorstep. Their web app workflow was fantastic, easy to use, and streamlined for a quick approval and production.
I also found that the turnaround time from Launch Tabletop was lightning fast compared to other services. (The Gamecrafter takes quite a bit longer unless you pay double the price for their expedited service, which is clearly an upsell strategy for them.)
The only small nitpick with Launch Tabletop is that they don’t have a wide array of components to work with. It’s mostly your standard fare of cards, boards, and a small assortment of tokens. They do offer compact dry erase boards and markers, though.
As I mentioned in my last Design Journal entry, Thought Complex is done! But there’s still more to do. I need to make a Board Game Geek entry for the game, for one. I also need to work on the Print-and-Play version.
Thought Complex will be available for purchase on Sept 5th!
Mark your calendars, folks. Even if you’re not attending PAX West, Thought Complex will be available for purchase on Sept 5th. The Physical Edition will be $15 (USD) + Shipping. The Print-and-Play version will be available for $2 in my store and at itch.io.
Yay!
This will be the last Design Journal on Thought Complex for the foreseeable future. Thanks for your support!
