What’s the deal with all these emails, huh?
Here’s the general cadence of my emails to help you with selecting categories based on your preferences:
- Books: Books take a long time to write, and there aren’t many developments I can share that wouldn’t seem vague and repetitive. (How many times do y’all really want to know that I’m still editing The Aether!?) I publish news about my books and short stories rarely, about once or twice a year
- Comics: I currently publish one webcomic, Heck Yeah!, once or twice a month
- Games: I’m working on a lot of games simultaneously, and journal about them often, which means that you could sometimes receive updates on games as sparsely as once a month, or as frequently as twice a week, depending on how much progress is made
- News: These updates are only sent out when I have information to tell y’all about such as sales, events, new stuff, and it can’t wait for the Quarterly Crust, about once or twice a year
- The Quarterly Crust: The frequency of theses is right there in the name! I send these out seasonally, four times a year. The Quarterly Crust is a summary of my activities over the season, and I typically add book and game reviews based on what I’ve read and played over the season. This is a great option if you’re interesting in what I’m working on overall versus receiving more frequent updates on specific projects (although you’re welcome to subscribe to everything, baby!)
NOTE: I use the newsletter feature built into wordpress to manage and send out emails. To my knowledge, wordpress doesn’t collect or sell your email information to marketers, and I sure as hell don’t.
